You Are the Salt of the Earth
Our Vision
With God’s strength and provision, we strive to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our neighbors through valuable partnerships with churches, businesses, individuals, schools, and civic groups.
We meet short-term needs while seeking long-term solutions—providing food, financial relief, and emotional support—to foster life-changing transformation through Christ!
- Nourish the Body
- Comfort the Heart
- Empower the Spirit

In the Beginning Was the Word
Our Story
“God works even in the dark with a lawnmower!” – Jimmy Caparolie after buying the Outreach Center’s first P.O. Box with a mangled $20 bill he taped back together.
Our founders, Jimmy and Karen Caparolie, have devoted their lives to sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus. After personally experiencing hunger and homelessness, their lives were transformed by His grace. Starting in Sept. 1995, God opened doors for them to serve on numerous mission trips to Ukraine and even to be part of the first team to provide food for Pentagon 9/11 victims and first responders.
What began as a simple idea on a plane ride home from Ukraine 26 years ago grew into S.E.A.M.S. Ministries. From that vision came the Pilot Mountain Outreach Center—first operating out of the back of a small thrift shop, and now serving as the local food pantry that faithfully supports our community alongside partnered churches, businesses, individuals, schools, and civics groups!
Thank you for responding to our neighbors in need!

More than a Pantry
It has been an honor to witness the aid God provided through our local food pantry. Here are several amazing programs he allowed us to house and partner with over the past 26 years!
- Thanksgiving Grab-a-Bag—Full holiday meal for the family!
- A New Beginning—Restoring our community by housing a GED program, English 2nd language classes, and job search aid!
- Free Christmas Toy Store—No child left without a present!
- Surry County Backpack Program—Backpacks full of food sent home with children on weekends!
- Meals with Love—Partnered with local churches to offer years of warm meals and devotionals!
- Houses for Helene—Partnered with Baptists Men of NC to fund rebuilding of homes in NC after Hurricane Helene!
- Furniture for Floods—An 18 wheeler full of furniture to restore what West Virginians flood victims lost!
- Operation Christmas Child—Aided in providing Shoe Boxes in support of Samaritans purse’s mission to spread the gospel through gift-giving!
We give thanks for people like you who volunteered and helped fund these programs for years!

“In the world you will have trouble. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
– Jesus warning his disciples there will be suffering, but the battle is already won.
